92 Percent of People Want Negative Criticism

I get it. Giving negative feedback to your team sucks. Nobody wants to do it.

But if you don’t provide your people with constructive criticism, you’re doing them a disservice. 

Why? Well, if you don’t tell them where they are falling short or what needs to be done differently, they might not know there’s a problem or what steps they need to take to improve. Their mistakes will continue, and they’ll never reach their full potential.

I’m not the only one who believes in the power of negative feedback, either. Your team does too.

In fact, in a Harvard Business Review survey, 92 percent of respondents indicated they believed that constructive criticism (when delivered appropriately) is effective at improving performance.
